VEM companies are located in close proximity to some of Germany’s major chemical plants, with the result that the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas industries are important markets for VEM drives.
Because they are operated in hazardous environsments, special requirements apply to HV machines used to drive compressors, blowers, pumps and extruders, as well as to the use of explosion-protected low-voltage machines.
